~Food Inc.~

Im just wondering how many of you out in bloggy land have taken the time to watch this eye opening movie?

I watched it with my bestie Angie when it first came out on Dvd! It wasnt as eye opening for us as we were aware of a good amount of what does happen, but non the less we did discover what they do to fillers in general...which is disgusting! In my personal opinion i would love for this Dvd to be played in every school so children are aware of exactly what they are putting into their bodies... While i was sorting threw a bag of magazines from my mother in law i came across a fantastic article that i shared with my guys over breakfast last friday...they were not to impressed that i read this to them while they were eatting there meat heavy breakfasts but still! It was in TIME magazine... Its called " The Real Cost of Cheap Food" please click the link and read it if you have a few mins!

yep, watched it. Liked it. Nothing new that I didn't know but a nice reminder all the same of why I eat the way I do.

I reviewed Food Inc back in June 2009 after seeing it and even did a video that was seen by several thousands.

I've also reviewed the DVD on my site last month.

I have the book and I can tell you that everyone should see the DVD or read the book.

It's an eye opener!

Hey there, stopping by from SITS! I hope you feel better soon.

I haven't seen that movie but part of it is because I freak out at stuff like that and I just can't always afford all healthy food. So... I might just let myself stay in ignorance for a bit longer. :)

Have an Extraordinary Day!

Yes, I saw that movie and reviewed it on my blog. It's eye opening. I knew all of that about the food, but the way the farmers and workers are treated was a surprise to me.

It is next on my list.

I am reading Fast Food Nation right now, along with Animal, Vegetable, Miracle...I need to lose weight and, from what I hear, Food Inc is going to be the very thing to make me change my ways...

I am a little afraid from what I hear...but almost ready!

I did read the article. I thought it was interesting, though I think there's a lot more to the situation. Of course, being a rabid carnivore, I snarl at the idea of anyone telling me to eat less meat. However, I do think that we need to bring farming back to the farm and treat livestock better. Additionally, I also think we need to change our lifestyle as a society. Working 10 hours a day and driving everywhere without even the chance for excercise or fixing a healthy meal is going to slowly kill us all. As a society, we need to assert that our health, and the enviroment, are important. Family dinners around a homecooked meal are important, not McDonald's or take out.
